Ford or Spielberg???

Yesterday there was a Star Wars marathon on one station and an Indiana Jones marathon on another.  During this I got to thinking what great careers both Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford have had.  Which is greater though ... or who would you rather be?

The first question I have to give the win to Spielberg, the second however I honestly just don't know.  While Spielberg has been behind so many great movies he's not really the face of any of them.  He is, as said, behind them.  Ford on the other hand has been an icon and the face of many of these franchises.  I'll do a quick little paragraph of each of these guys and see if you as readers can come to a conclusion any easier than I can.

Spielberg has created countless great works in a career that has spanned decades and he has the awards to show for it. Some of the movies that he has had a hand in ... Jaws, ET, the Indiana Jones series, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, The Goonies, Back to the Future, Transformers...

Ford has been the head man in a number of movies and has won a number of awards as well (though no Oscars to date).  He has been in over 60 movies and TV episodes and has played some incredible and iconic roles.  Some of his roles through the years ... Bob Falfa in "American Graffiti", Colonel Lucas in "Apocalypse Now", Rick Deckard in "Blade Runner", Has Solo in the three original "Star Wars" movies, and Indiana Jones in all four "Indiana Jones" movies.  These are just a few samples but some of those are known worldwide and are roles that last generations in some of the greatest movies of all time.

No matter which you would rather be, the legend behind the camera or the man who plays legends, there is no denying that both of these men have had incredible careers.
